With careful planning and a bit of template expressions can set up a template to toggle between two or more different design styles, as switching between media screen and print media types. The main difference is that the transition between the styles of design is under the designer – not the user or automatic – control.
The main benefit control of a template based on template parameters is managed. Instead of requiring multiple templates for the same site, you can have a template with a variety designs. This technique is a time saver when you need to make changes to the template, instead of updating multiple templates with the same change – and processing changes on the site – one only has to change.
