How do you make this website banners?

Can someone tell me header (banner on the page up, what do the programming of a website or software must I do if I want), how to download these sites: http://topsecretfatlosssecret.com/earnin … http://www.traffictravis.com/ Note the color of the upper part Banner stretches across the screen. How they do that? I'm new to web design and only know how to use Microsoft Frontpage Banner by tables and inserting an image create a cell one. But to be really fundamental and want to make it a really nice as these websites. I have Dreamweaver, but must learn it. I am not sure if to go his way. By the way I just want a static website to create more than 30 pages. Also stretch as you make the banner above the screen Your computer, such as the above examples?

Definitely do not use Frontpage. Dreamweaver is the way to go to. And while you are in, then you can also Do not use tables and start using CSS, as long as you are willing to learn. Http: / / www.webmonkey.com you have there are great tutorials for each type of web design. As for the banner, you can create any number of programs for graphic editing. Photoshop is the "best" and most commonly used program to make banners so But if you search for a free alternative, try Gimp or check out http://www.paint.net If you right click on the banner and 'go to View Background Image "you will see that there is only a sliver of a picture that the encoder in the background repeat Set's. The CSS uses them) this is as follows: background: transparent url (/ img / head.gif repeat-x scroll 0 0; where / img / head.gif Photoshop is the position of the band that made the designer. php line break?

I have encountered problems with regard to something of a strange line break. I have set up an information forum that users accepted the inputs and outputs in a formatted table .. pretty standard. The problem arises when a user link to a site that exceeds the width of my table enters. Because a connection is actually a word, it seems to have problems wrapping in the next line. However, this only happens with the Firefox browser. With IE, wraps it automatically itself. Does anyone know a way around this? The wordwrap () function will not work b / c it leaves spaces between the letters wound, breaking the Connection. Thank you

I have encountered a similar problem, and instead of a line break, I used a different solution: for each text output, I have a check for a string that run http:or with "", "https:" and "www". If find this string, I show only the first 20 characters, but wrap it around with an "a href" statement pointed to the link. He took care of long strings of text break the table, and allows I click on links users directly.

website evaluation sheet

website evaluation sheet
I do not mean to sound ignorant, but what does URL stand for? Is it the same as an actual Web site?

I have a score sheet in the class, Ask the URL site. I wonder what exactly does that mean?

A URL is a Uniform Resource Locator, and is usually made of three parts: the protocol, the domain / target and the requested file. For example, to search Google, type http://www.google.com/ The protocol is the stuff before the word before the: / /, in this case, and in the case of almost every web page, it is 'http'. This stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, Hyper text transfer protocol and Web sites referred to a standard system the information to send. The protocol is like a head-dress memos, no matter to what sent similar messages all have the same title. The target is the domain or IP address to go (like a phone number) or domain names (as the name with a phone number) of the server you want to contact. For Google's domain name google.com. A DNS server contains the IP addresses for each domain name registered (similar to a phone call numbers apply to each registered person). The DNS server sends the IP address, so you can get it directly. If your computer has the IP address it sends the request to them. For http://www.google.com/ The request for the home, but If you typed or http://www.google.com/images http://images.google.com/ request for images would, and the Google server reads the request and knows to page return to locate the image. So to answer your question number one location is not a Web site. Return to my analagy, The URL is how the data necessary to somebody on the telephone (Call name / Domain name, phone number / IP address and your question and who then for / request) if you "call" them with the URL that who you call sends the requested information from you Hope this helps
